In addition to 'covering' material popularized by other recording artists, Jim Smith is also is a songwriter
(once placing in the  Quarter Finals of the prestigious American Song Festival).  Here is a sampling of his album "Only Dreamers Understand".  In addition to composing and arranging all songs on the album, Jim performed all instruments and vocal parts (with the exception of 4 of the album's 12 tracks, in which drums were courtesy of long-time friend and session musician, Tommy DiSabatino).

The album was released under Jim's 'pen name': Brandon St. James on the Artistar label.
